A Love Like No Other

 

Our last blog talked about Family Magick, and how incorporating that into our daily lives can provide an abundance of positive energy within the home, now I would like to incorporate Pet Magick!

Pets have been incorporated into families for hundreds of years, and always add that special something to a household. They have this sixth sense and can pick up things that are not always visible to the human eye. They know when we are sad, hurt, or ill and comfort us, by their own desire. Having grown up with animals, I have learned and experienced firsthand that they all had something different to offer, and their own lessons to teach. Dogs, Cats, Fish, Rodents, etc, all have their own special gift to bring into your life.

As with all living animals on this planet, we are their voice. We are here to protect, love them and compliment their energy in this precious symbiotic relationship. Though they do not speak as we do, they communicate their needs and emotions just as much as us. Some pets we have can become our familiars and so the relationship deepens and establishes more underlying meaning, and we open ourselves to more meaningful experiences with our pets.

Something I have recently been learning about are Sigils. Symbols designed to attract specific energy for a specific cause. For example, there are Sigils that can be carved or placed inside a household, designed to protect the home, or a Sigil to keep the love in a relationship abundant. Here is a Sigil designed specifically for the protection and safety of pets:

 

This can be carved in their collar, in their bed or in their food/water dish.

As you create this Sigil for your pet, focus your intent for their protection and over all well being for spiritual, emotional, mental and physical health, and believe! Have faith in this Sigil and its power will look over your pet.

We Are Family

                                                             

 

  

Some are crazy, some are dysfunctional, but there is always love. A communal acceptance of the craziness and dysfunction, love soars over and brings out the best in everyone. Family. Whether by blood or experiences in life, they're the people that are always there for you, that love you unconditionally, and accept you for who you are.

When we incorporate Magick into our homes, we are combining one of the strongest bonds with a great universal force. This kind of Magick can protect your home, your loved ones, watching over the general health and well being of everyone, as well as the energy of your home.

It can be as simple as placing a besom above your front door, hanging crystals from your windows, or spreading out rose quartz or selenite around your home, smudging your child's bedroom before they sleep, etc. There are so many little rituals that you can incorporate into your daily family life, which can easily become habits that will pass down through generations.

This is something I like to do, and resonates with me quite well, and I will do this whenever there are arguments or disagreements. It is called the “Ho'oponopono Mantra “, and is easy to remember, and can help raise vibrations to a level of self healing and forgiveness.

What you will need :

A fresh sage stick (can be any kind you prefer to use)

A shell or bowl (to catch the ashes)

A quartz crystal that has been smudged (fairly decent sized)

Invite your partner and children to participate!

Gather your family into the room in which is spent the most time in together,

all sit in a circle, and light your sage and place the quartz in the middle.

Invite your family to all close their eyes and to really attune themselves with how they are feeling.

As eyes begin to open, pass the smudge stick around and let everyone smudge

themselves, while reciting this short prayer:

"I am sorry, please forgive me, I love you and I thank you"

Family Magick is powerful, and if practiced on a regular basis, you will begin to feel the amazing changes within yourself and your family!

Omorose Mesi (Beautiful Water)

Water: Over 80% of our Earth is water, 80% of our bodies are water, it is in tune and guided by the energy of our moon, and it provides life to all living things. It's probably one of the most important and magickal elements of life force that exists.We use it every day, for eating, drinking, bathing, watering plants, etc and we become so used to it just always being there, that if it were to ever disappear or become contaminated, I don't think it would be until that point in which humanity as a whole, would truly realise just how special water is.

The Ancient Egyptians, were revered for their advanced technology and knowledge of things.  They had a name for water: “ Omorose Mesi”, which translates into “Beautiful Water”. They used it for cleansing as they embalmed their dead, offered water to their Patrons, helped them in their creation of what we call today beer and embraced the powers of The Nile,  which was worshipped entirely as its own entity having provided their main source of nourishment and life.

Humanity today, especially western societies, seem to be more focused on their 9-5 jobs and the latest smart phone, rather than connecting with nature and embracing water as a life source.

And it's ok, we are all guilty of being this way, sometimes we cannot help it! That is why I would like to share with you a ritual based soley around water and is something we can easily incorporate daily! This ritual is to help you change your vibration with water and really connect with this element.

Shower Magick:

Gather some local/fresh herbs and/or flowers (whatever is available to

Prepare incense (does not matter which kind as all incense have properties of cleansing)

Place your herbs/flowers around your shower head, simple string is easy to use to bundle them together and then hang.

Light your incense and step into your shower, and as you feel the water falling down your body, visualise it collecting all the things you no longer wish to carry with you for the day. See the water go down the drain and see all this negative energy go down with it, leaving your body, therefore leaving your spirit. As you are visualising this speak these words for as many times as you wish:

“I am pure water,  I am healing life, I am love”.

Whenever you get the chance to spend time next to water, you can also say these words as you glance upon it's glistening surface. Embrace it's presence, feel the energy coming from it and breath in the air around you. Be grateful for running, fresh water, be mindful as to how you use it and remember to nourish your body with this wonderful gift!
