TAROT

Seven of Wands

In today's reading, I'm featuring the seven of wands from "The Fountain Tarot"

This card represents one of my favourite personal philosophies, and that is to "Act despite your fears". All too often we let our fears guide us in making decisions, especially when we are feeling very comfortable with where we are in our lives... though a part of us may be wishing to try to achieve a distant dream.

This card is telling you that if there's something you want, go out and get it. Don't ignore your doubts or fears but don't let them stop you either. You can absolutely bring into your life the things you want to, and you can achieve your goals and dreams. A little courage goes a long way. Remember courage is not the absence of fear, but in taking action despite your fears.

Starting a new year, with new exciting, yet somewhat scary projects, hopes and dreams? Why not carry the card of the 7 of wands with you as a reminder that "You've got this". And every time you feel those doubts coming trickling in, look at your card, take a deep breath and know that you have the strength to keep moving forward!

The King of Swords

Today's featured deck is the beautifully illustrated Santa Muerte Tarot Deck.

The King of Swords tells us not to be stubborn. Being opinionated or forceful, something that might normally serve you well, might end up getting you into trouble now. Pride comes before the fall! Your point of view could possibly do with a little change... so don't discount others around you so easily. You might think and feel that you "know better" but the truth may be very different indeed.

Stop and think before you speak.

If the card represents someone in your life, that is being loud and forceful towards you, don't allow yourself to be quick to anger... but also don't be willing to do "just about anything" to please this person. Loud forceful personalities have a way of "swallowing us up", which triggers our Fight or Flight response. If your natural instinct is to fight or argue your point of view, then perhaps you need to walk away. If your natural instinct is to run away, it might be time for you to stand your ground. Don't let bullies bully you, they feed off the satisfaction of getting the response that they expect to receive from you.

Don't let yourself be bullied in anyway, but be mindful that you're not the one doing the bullying, even if you're not aware of it.

Welcome to me new page where I will be featuring a new tarot card and tarot deck every week! This week I am featuring the "Ace of Wands" from the Wild Unknown Tarot Deck

I love Ace cards, they represent new beginnings, and usually good ones, and who doesn't need a good new beginning from time to time?

Wands in the deck are all about accomplishment, and usually are great for readings focused on your work or career path, so this card is a really great positive omen if you are looking at starting a new career or looking for a new job - you may just find something perfectly suited to you that will help you to achieve great things!

If you're looking for a new job, and are making offerings on your altar, or casting a spell to assist you, why not add this card to the process and bring in its strong positive energy. Leave it on your altar or place it in a spell bag with an assortment of dried herbs, incense and totems that will allow you to strengthen and harness is energy.

How lucky that I drew this card for my first reading... I think great things are headed my way in 2019!
